This past weekend, August 10th, The Greater Pittsburgh Sports Complex hosted a high-level, men’s 4.0 & 4.5 pickleball Moneyball tournament. With highly skilled players and top talent in the local community, it was an exciting weekend full of friendly competition.
Moneyball Madness: Pickleball Tournament Dominated by Rosa & Simms
After an action-packed morning filled with strenuous matches, the championship title was claimed by Bruno Rosa and Ian Simms. The pair showcased exceptional teamwork, precision, and determination, proving their skills and hard work throughout the matches.
Facing stiff competition in the finals, Rosa and Simms emerged victorious, securing their spot in 1st place. Their opponents, Lu Vazquez and Yvon Martinez displayed a significant amount of effort but ultimately fell short, earning the runner-up position. Demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship, Rashad Davison and Connor Simms clinched the third-place spot, rounding out the tournament’s winners.

The Greater Pittsburgh Sports Complex would like to extend its congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances and contributions to the success of the tournament. This tournament, like many others we have hosted thus far, was proof of the growing popularity of pickleball, not only in the Pittsburgh area but across the nation.
